The infamous Pikey peak is situated in the lower Solukhumbu district. Majestic Pikey peak has always been in the shade of the Everest region. This beautiful trek can be completed just in 7-8 days easily. You can either trek or travel via jeep to Pikey peak.

You can see the majestic view of six mountain ranges i.e. Mt. Kanchenjunga, Mt. Langtang, Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Mahalangur, Mt. Gaurishankar, Mt. Makalu. You can visit the ancient gumbas and monasteries and get the opportunity to know more about the Sherpa culture and traditions.

Best season for Pikey peak

The Autumn season during the month of September to December and the spring season during the month of February to June is the best season to travel to Pikey peak. During these months or seasons, the weather is very clear and provides an excellent view.

During Monsoon season there could be the threat of landslides and floods on or on the way to the destination. The trail will be slippery and leeches will invade you. Trekkers can see dense vegetation throughout the trail. And during the Winter season, the trail is completely covered with snow and most of the homestays on the high altitude are closed due to cold.

Itinerary-The Infamous Pikey peak

Day1: Arrival in Kathmandu

On the day of your arrival in Nepal. Our office representative will receive you up from the airport in a private vehicle and transfer you to the hotel.

Day2: Kathmandu to Khamding, Solukhumbu

Today, you will get up early in the morning around 5, and start your journey after having breakfast or you can have breakfast on the way. Today you will drive for around 10 hours to reach Solukhumbu. You will have lunch on Mulkot. From this very first day, you can see the mighty Everest. You can witness the very beautiful sunset from Dhap along with the magical sea cloud. You will be staying overnight on Khamding and will have dinner at the staying hotel.

Day3: Khamding to Jhapre

Today, after having breakfast you can visit the gumba of Khamding village and roam around the village to different hill points. Then you will return to the hotel and have your lunch. After having lunch and resting for a while, you will trek for around 3 hours to reach Jhapre. You will be staying overnight on Jhapre and having dinner at the staying hotel. You will be trekking through the rhododendron forest which blooms in the spring and monsoon season.

Day4: Jhapre to Pikey Basecamp

Today you will be trekking for around 6-7 hours. After having your breakfast at Jhapre you will start your trek through the beautiful to the Pikey basecamp. You will be accompanied by the beautiful and mighty mountains beside you by 180-degree sides. You will be trekking through the place called Bhulbhule, you can also travel via jeep up to the Bhulbhule but the route will be different from Khamding to Jhapre. Today, after 4 hours of walking you will reach Lhamuje where you will have your lunch and after resting for a while you will have to do a little bit of steep climb. Then after walking for 3 hours from Lhamuje, you will reach Pikey Basecamp. You will be staying overnight here and have dinner at staying hotel.

Day5: Pikey basecamp to Pikey Peak to Kerung

Today is the summit day. Today early in the morning you will start your trek to Pikey Peak. It will take around 1 hour to reach the Pikey peak. Pikey peak is the god of the area who protects the villages around and saves from any disasters according to the local people. Then after returning to base camp from Pikey peak, you will have your lunch and trek to Kerung village. You will be staying overnight at Kerung and having dinner at the staying hotel.

Day6: Kerung to Kathmandu

Today after having breakfast early in the morning, you will travel via jeep to Kathmandu. You will have lunch on the way and stay overnight in Kathmandu.
