Itinerary
Our vehicle will pick you up from the arrival terminal of the airport and transfer you to the hotel.
The driving distance from Kathmandu to Kohalpur is around 500 km. Since the distance is long, we have to start the drive early in the morning after breakfast. The lunch will be on the way as per the suitable time and destination.
We will be riding alongside beautiful hills and terrains. The majestic Trishuli river flows below you. We will be staying overnight at the hotel at Kohalpur. We will reach Kohalpur after around 15 hours of driving.
Today, the driving distance will not be as long as yesterday. We will have our breakfast and ride towards manma, lunch will be on the way and we will be staying overnight in the guest house at manma, headquarter of Kalikot.
We will be traveling through dense forests and beautiful landscapes via Surkhet. Manma is a beautiful town which lies between beautiful hills. The driving distance will be around 8 hours from Kohalpur to Manma. Some parts of the road are off and bumpy.
We will reach Rara lake today. We have to drive through Sinja valley and reach Nagma valley which will take around 2 hours of drive. Then from Nagma valley the off-road starts till the very last jeep station. We will be driving through the edge of Karnali river then after 3-4 hours of drive we will reach Talcha airport and the jeep goes further 30 minutes of driving distance from Talcha airport.
Then we will park our jeep and hike for around 30 to 45 minutes to reach Rara lake. After spending some time around Rara Lake, we again have to hike for around 2 hours to reach the hotel. We will be staying overnight at the hotel on the bank of Rara lake.
Wake up early in the morning. This is your free day at Rara Lake. You can walk around, enjoy boating, have pictures, and any other available optional tour like hiking around, etc. yourself. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner will be served at the Hotel. Enjoy the day.
After having breakfast early in the morning, we will hike for around 2 hours to reach the place where we parked our jeep. Then we will return following the same route and have our lunch on the way and overnight stay in a hotel at Kalikot.
